As I step into the role of CEO at Aspire Living & Learning, I find myself reflecting on what truly helps organizations grow and stay strong through times of change. With the recent budget bill now passed and Medicaid funding adjustments on the horizon, I want to share why we’re continuing to lead with an abundance mindset, and what that means for the people we serve and partner with.
A New Space for Choice and Opportunity Coming Soon
Aspire is growing our commitment to supporting people as they unlock their potential by opening a new location in Leominster, Massachusetts later this year. This 10,000-square-foot space was designed with input from self-advocates, families, and community partners. It offers welcoming, flexible spaces that give people more opportunities to connect, build skills, and grow in ways that reflect who they are.
Meet Christman, a thoughtful and creative student who, during his time at ALL Academy, found the space to grow—building confidence, making connections, and setting big goals like going to college. His family shares how they worked together to find the right supports, ones that not only met Christman’s needs but helped them grow stronger as a family, too.
Bring More Movement, Creativity, and Connection to Life
When someone lights up while drumming to a beat, painting a bold stroke, or dribbling a ball across the gym floor, it's connection, confidence, and learning taking shape.
Music, art, and movement offer people with disabilities powerful ways to express themselves, build skills, and connect with others. Your gift helps bring more of these experiences to life, supporting discovery and growth at every stage of someone's journey.
Bridging Learning and Life: Community Partnerships for Students
What happens when classroom learning meets real-world experience? Thanks to a partnership with Amrita, a local health food company, students at ALL Academy are gaining hands-on work experience, building confidence, and discovering their strengths in new ways. Their story even caught the attention of News 12 Connecticut!
Laura and Karen share more than a house. They’ve created a home rooted in friendship, mutual respect, and daily routines that reflect who they are. For Laura, every meal cooked and chore done builds confidence and independence. For Karen, being heard and supported brings a true sense of belonging. Together, they’re showing what’s possible when people have the right support to thrive.
